OBS Studio Setup Tutorial

If you're interested in my personal settings then stick around.


1) Go here to grab OBS Studio . I prefer the one with Browser Source as it’s one less plugin should you wish to use it.

2)
Install this to whatever directory you chose.

3) Once you run the program you will be greeted with the screen below.

4) First thing you want to do is go to File > Settings to get your setting sorted out for streaming.

5) For this tutorial we will be streaming to Twitch.
- You will first need to get your Twitch Stream key.
- Go here to get your Twitch Stream key. (You must be logged in for this link to work)

6) Below are my settings for setting up OBS.

This is helpful if you're not sure what bitrate you need for your specific resolution.

​Recommended bitrate for 1080p: 3000-3500
Recommended bitrate for 720p: 1800-2500
Recommended bitrate for 480p: 900-1200
Recommended bitrate for 360p: 600-800
Recommended bitrate for 240p: Up to 500

Please be mindful of my computer and internet speed and some settings may not be optimal for you.
